This piece was inspired by the three Christmas trees planted in my grandparent's front yard. From seedlings, the trees grew each year until they were towering above us. I have such fond memories of my grandad climbing a ladder (well into his 80s when my uncles insisted on taking over the job!) and stringing them with old-fashioned lights.
Holy Night plants this nostalgia on the outskirts of Bethlehem where Jesus was born.
