Welcome to Monica Bliss Art, I am so glad you are here! I am an artist living in Orlando, Florida with my husband and five precious boys.

My art journey began in the late summer of 2020. For many years, there was what I perceived to be a "weird" longing inside of me to paint. To create. I ignored it until I couldn't anymore.

In an attempt to find something to do during the early days of the COVID-19 pandemic, I took a trip to the craft store to buy paint "for my kids," sat down to paint, and never got up. That longing inside of me that had felt so out of place finally made sense.

I discovered that I love painting at the age of 36. With absolutely no art background, to say that I was shocked that I actually could paint is an understatement, to say the least.

Three months after starting, I sold one of the very first pieces I made, an abstract guitar, to a musician for his music room. This sale gave me the confidence to keep going, and things rapidly snowballed into taking commissions and selling more and more artwork. 

In October 2022, I had the honor of being awarded as the Poster Artist for the 49th Annual Autumn Art Festival in Winter Park, Florida.

The realization that something has been unleashed inside me and that acknowledging God has given me the ability to create is a gift that I can not ignore, and it is an honor to share my work with you.
