Shipping

Where do you ship?

I ship worldwide! If you live outside of the US, please note you will be responsible for all duties, taxes, and customs charges.

How much does it cost to ship?

The cost for shipping original paintings and stretched canvas prints varies on size and destination. To keep your costs to a minimum, all paper prints are rolled and secured in a mailing tube.

Returns/Exchanges

Do you accept returns?

All sales are final. Please let me know prior to your purchase if you have any specific questions so you can be completely satisfied with your future artwork in your space.

If something arrives damaged, please email a photo and your order number within three days of delivery to monicablissart@gmail.com.

Original Artwork

What medium do you paint in?

I use Golden acrylics which boast quality pigment-saturated paints with optimal strength and coverage.

Is your artwork sold framed?

Great question! You will find both framed and unframed options in the product's drop-down menu.

For original artwork, the product description will indicate whether a piece is framed. Most canvas originals come in a wood floating frame, meaning the canvas sits in the frame with a small gap around the edges, appearing to be floating. The floating frames are glass-less which allow you to beautifully observe the painting without the distraction of a glare.

Is your artwork sold varnished?

For the utmost durability and longevity, each original painting is protected with 100% acrylic polymer varnish. Varnishing adds a satin sheen while increasing the brightness and color saturation and offering protection from UV light damage.

Who actually owns the artwork?

I retain all rights to all artwork I create. This includes the rights to the image of sold and commissioned original paintings. The collector or buyer may not reproduce the artwork in any way without written permission. When you purchase an original painting you, the collector, have the right to display the artwork in your home or business but the artwork may not be resold or reproduced without my written permission.

Print Shop

What is a giclee/fine art print?

A "fine art print" is also known as a giclee print or archival print. The Reflections Solvent Canvas prints are produced on state-of-the-art equipment using Epson UltraChrome ink to provide a colorfastness exceeding 200 years. These offer a distinct likeness in both look and feel to the original painting. Giclee paper prints, also produced on state-of-the-art equipment, have a colorfastness of 100 years.

Can I custom order a print?

Yes, I can print in pretty much any size (and even on various surfaces like metal!). Please email me at monicablissart@gmail.com with your specifications.

Commissions

What is commissioned art?

A commission is a collaboration with you to create a custom piece of art. We design it together, I paint it, and we hang it together.

Can I commission a painting?

Yes! Please send me a message through the Commission Request page or email monicablissart@gmail.com. I will get in touch with you promptly so we can start creating together.

Can I request changes to a commission?

Yes! As mentioned, this truly is a unique collaboration between us. I will send along progress photos, give you the opportunity to speak into the process, and make small changes along the way. After the piece is finished and you have approved it, I will sign and varnish. Once the varnish is applied, no further changes can be made.

Do you paint portraits?

I am not accepting portrait commissions at this time.
